The over abundance of stream of conscience writing and the inaccurate fact is why I am not able to give this book 5 stars. There was also an inaccurate statement that Sara made in the final chapters regarding her discussion with Josh in the car that was contradicted based on what she had earlier stated. I watched bubbles splash all over my windshield, pouring water over the glass with the same. ![]() This was an important discussion that lost it’s essence because we were more in Sara‘s head, rather than invited into the conversation. Chapter 22 The Big Reveal Oh Sweet Jesus. ![]() I found it particularly annoying during a conversation between Sara and Josh when they were driving to Alicia’s house. This takes away from the conversation which is more of a distraction, making it difficult to follow the discussion. However, it tends to be overused when it is inserted in the middle of dialogue between two characters. I always like stream of consciousness writing because it’s necessary for character development. I especially like the descriptive writing, as well as the narrator’s soft spoken approach. It grabbed my attention right away and once I got to the final 10 chapters, I could not put it down. ![]() This story has movie potential, especially because it contains didactic overtones. Sweet Water by Cara Reinard is a family drama that takes the reader down a path so twisted that you will not know what to expect. ![]()
